College Onramps was built with Orthodox Jewish and faith-based families in mind. The curriculum is ideologically neutral. The schedule bends around Shabbat, holidays, and yeshiva study. And the community work your student is already doing counts toward their graduation requirements.
The ten Year 1 courses cover math, history, natural science, social science, and practical skills like communication and critical thinking. There's no ideological framing, no assumptions about secular values, and no required engagement with material your family would find objectionable. Families who left traditional high schools specifically because of curriculum conflicts have found this a clean fit.
The program is fully self-paced. Shabbat, Yom Tov, and time in yeshiva don't interrupt your student's progress — they pick up where they left off. At the start of the program, the concierge mentor works with each family to build a realistic weekly schedule around religious observance and community commitments.
The Social Adventures Program requires students to complete real-world activities: community service, experiences outside their comfort zone, personal projects. Work your student already does through their shul, a chesed organization, or other faith-based programs counts directly toward this requirement. There's no need to invent new activities.
College Onramps is registered as a Texas-based umbrella school, which satisfies mandatory attendance laws in 39 states. For families in New Jersey, including the Lakewood area, that covers the legal requirement directly. For families in New York, we operate as a curriculum provider under the state's homeschooling regulations, which are well-established and widely used.
Your concierge mentor will walk through exactly what applies in your state and make sure your student's schedule meets those requirements. See the FAQ for state-by-state details.
Not every family using College Onramps is planning for college, and the program works either way. But for students who do want a degree, the path is there. After completing Year 1, students take dual-enrollment courses with one of our partner universities. Those who pass are automatically admitted — no application, no admissions anxiety.
One of the ten archetype-matched university partners is specifically suited to students for whom religious tradition and values are central to how they want to learn and live. Take the archetype quiz to find out which partner fits your student best.
Tell us about your family and we'll be in touch to walk you through the program and answer every question.
